Completes the Maldives Experience Review by Andy
Music from this album was playing as we first enter our ocean villa at Soneva Gili (Malidives). Our pool villa at Soneva Fushi also had this album playing. The management of Six Senses seems to have fallen in love with this CD. The music was just sublime. I actually found this title in a used record store, and bought it for $1.99. Boy, was I in for a shock! What an amazing CD!! If you have ever been to Monterey, this music will certainly become the perfect soundtrack for the memories of your visit. I have since purchased 14 other titles from Orange Tree, and all have been wonderful albums that are enjoyed regularly, be it at work, at home, or in the car. If you do not have Sounds of Monterey Bay, and are thinking about it, do yourself a favor and add this one to your collection, you will not be sorry!! This is Randy Petersen at his best! What a great CD! I have been looking for the right mix and balance of soothing music and nature sound for years. I finally found one that strikes the right tone in every songs. If you have been to Monterey, you will recognize the sound of waves, dolphins, and other sea creatures. The Humpback whale, sea birds, and other animal sounds are sophisticatedly blended in the melodies. The CD gives you soft, soothing, and stress-relieving effects. I love it. (Posted on 2/27/10)
